Questions & answers
Is this course right for me?
This course works best for business owners seeking more local customers, freelance SEO professionals looking to add local expertise services, and marketing agency employees trying to expand their portfolios.
Is this course free?
The Complete Local SEO Course costs nothing. Just use your email address to access the course content. (This is also how you can collect your success badges at the end of each module!)
What exactly will I get?
Three modules as of now (starting with the three that fix 80% of local SEO problems) to walk you through local search marketing fundamentals, complete Google Business Profile setup, and local website strategy that keeps your rankings.
Each module includes educational video and text content with examples, a transcript for follow-along reference, research sources, and additional reading materials. You can also give us direct feedback from there about the module or a specific lesson.
Practical tasks to complete at the end of each module using your own Google Business Profiles. They're designed to help you practice while you learn.
Access to our Facebook groups ( English and Polish) with over 9,500 members who've solved pretty much every local SEO problem you can imagine. We’re the moderators, but the community there is already hyper-helpful and usually answers questions faster than we do.
How long does it take to complete? Can I go at my own pace?
Right now, it’s approximately 3 hours of videos and 2 hours of practical exercises.
It's completely self-paced with lifetime access. The modules build on each other, so we recommend completing them in order.
Common worry: "I don't have time for another course." The practical tasks improve your actual business, not create busy work. And, even if you only finish Module 1, you’ll already be ahead of many Google Business Profile managers.
What this timeline doesn't include: Time to see results from your efforts. Most start seeing changes in local search visibility within 4-6 weeks of implementing what they learn.
I've never done SEO before. Will this be too technical?
No, because we built this assuming you've never touched local SEO before.
We start with the basics: what local SEO actually is (without difficult terminology), why it matters for your business, and guides with screenshots and walkthroughs.
You don’t need a technical background. We explain every term in plain English to the best of our ability (but let us know when you need more clarification). When something's technical, we show you how to implement it or analyze it. Plus, most tasks involve filling out forms, uploading photos, and making smart decisions.
For those with SEO experience, we also cover the differences between local SEO and regular SEO. Modules, too, include technical setups, prioritization, and more advanced strategies that you can explore with additional time investment.
Do I get a certificate? Will it actually help my career?
Yes! First of all, you collect success badges as you go and complete each module. Then, you receive a professional Certificate of Completion after finishing all modules and practical assignments.
The free local SEO training includes digital badges for LinkedIn, email signatures, and websites, and an official completion certificate with your name and completion date.
What this certificate isn't: It's not university-accredited or industry-certified like Google Ads certifications. It's a completion certificate that shows you’ve put a serious amount of hours of hands-on local SEO training.
Common worry: "Will clients take this seriously?" The certificate shows you invested time learning local SEO properly. Combined with the practical skills you'll gain, it's usually enough to win client confidence. But it's not a magic solution. It won't do the work for you.
Common worry #2: “Will employers recognize this?” The certificate shows you completed practical local SEO training. Most employers in digital marketing care more about proven skills than academic credentials.
Who created this course? What's your experience?

What if I need help or get stuck?
You get a couple of support options:
Facebook groups ( English and Polish) with over 9,500 local SEO professionals who've been exactly where you are. This is where you can get your 'oh, that's why my competitor ranks higher' moments. You keep access to the community and can ask questions as you implement strategies.
“Share your thoughts” space available below each module and monitored by our teaching team. Use it for feedback and questions, or simply send us an email at course@localo.com while you're here.
